Description
This workshop will provide information to school staff, teachers and administrators about how to incorporate more “green and healthy" initiatives into our schools specifically through school gardens. School gardens promote environmental stewardship, build healthy lifestyles, and advance academic achievement. Learn ways to start or advance your school garden program. Participants will be given work time to develop ideas for their classroom and/or school community.
Workshop Leader will be Community GroundWorks
Meemic Foundation Club members that attend this workshop will receive a $100 stipend (payable to the school, limited to one per person with no more than 4 staff members per school). Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
