In this three-hour workshop, teachers will discover a variety of apps and websites to engage students to create an exciting and innovative learning environment. Put learning into the student's hands and watch the magic happen. Make your life easier as a teacher by discovering up-to-date apps to help with productivity in all areas of life.

This engaging workshop will provide:

  • Websites and web-based tools for students and teachers
    Useful iPhone/Android/Tablet apps to use in the classroom
    50 useful websites/apps for teachers

This workshop is free for Foundation Club members. There is a $15 fee for all others.


Your Workshop Presenter:
Jeremy RInkel
: Jeremy is a teacher, journalist, self-published author, and an aspiring entrepreneur. He currently teaches English at Cowden-Herrick High School. In August 2010, Rinkel completed his Master's degree in Educational Policy Studies with specialization in Globalization at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. At the U of I, he experimented and presented on a variety of technology resources for students and teachers.

In May 2011, Rinkel was chosen by Scholastic, Inc. to be an Online Teacher Advisor blogger for grades 9-12 during the 2011-2012 school year. During his year with Scholastic, he blogged about developing a positive learning environment through the use of available technologies. In 2012, Rinkel launched The Writers App (http://thewritersapp.com), a website that provides tips and resources for beginning writers and aspiring authors.
